Asia was first introduced as a director of feature in Scarlet Diva (2000). The film featured her as a director. She was also the lead actress and wrote the screenplay. The film was made available all over the world in May 2000. It was awarded a special award by the Williamsburg Film festival in Brooklyn. Anna Lou, her first child, was born in the year 2001.
